In The Heights


In The Heights tells the story of a Latino community facing change and the challenges of life in a New York City neighborhood. Through music, movement, and infectious energy, this musical explores identity, belonging, love, and the importance of having a community that supports you through any adversity.

Recommended for ages 10 and above, In the Heights is performed live on stage in Barranco by students from Spotlight’s Performing Arts Program. A powerful and emotional musical experience, with combo ticket options available, perfect for enjoying musical theatre with family or friends.

About the Performing Arts Program


Spotlight Performing Arts Offers young people in Lima the opportunity to embark on something truly extraordinary: preparing and performing a professional musical in English.

During the intensive summer program, students train with Broadway artists and renowned Peruvian instructors, developing skills in singing, acting, and dance while strengthening their English fluency, confidence, and stage presence.

This current summer 2026 program culminates in In The Heights, a vibrant, high-energy production that will take the stage after months of intensive preparation.
