About the Performing Arts Program
Spotlight’s Performing Arts Program gives youth in Lima the chance to take on something extraordinary: preparing and performing a licensed Disney musical in English. Over several months, they train with Broadway and Peruvian artists, learning how to sing, act, and dance as an ensemble while building fluency, confidence, and presence on stage.
The program is designed to stretch students beyond the classroom. Rehearsals are fast-paced, fully in English, and focused on teamwork and storytelling. Along the way, students develop discipline, creativity, and the ability to connect with an audience.
This year the program culminates in Disney’s Aladdin JR. Families will see the results of months of work when students bring the production to the stage in December.
