The Introduction to Musical Theater Program - IMT are a great place to learn how to express yourself and build your confidence in a range of essential life skills such as English fluency, creativity, teamwork, public speaking and more.
We simply do it through musical theater! Our introductory programs offer a supportive, fun, and fully bilingual learning environment for all students to engage in a community and end the program with the confidence to perform a short part of a musical show in front of a live audience -- all in English!
Best for: students with beginner or no experience in English, acting, singing, dancing.

About Hamilton
This musical is based on the bestselling biography of Alexander Hamilton by historian Ron Chernow. It premiered Off-Broadway in 2015.
The story follows Hamilton’s journey as an immigrant who uses his education, determination, and voice to help shape the founding of the United States. He starts with very little, but his ambition and intellect lead him to become one of the most influential leaders in American history.
More than 90 percent of the show is delivered through rap, hip hop, and R&B. This unique format helps students improve English fluency, build memory, and gain confidence in self-expression. At Spotlight, we use Hamilton to teach language in a creative, meaningful way while helping young people grow their skills on and off the stage.
How Lin-Manuel Miranda Changed Theater… and the Way We Learn Language
Rhythm and story changed the way we learn through theater.
The creative force behind this story, and the artist who has connected with both young audiences and the global music industry, is Lin-Manuel Miranda.
He holds a degree in Theater from Wesleyan University in Connecticut. While still a student, he wrote In the Heights, which later became a Broadway success. In 2015, he transformed musical theater with Hamilton, blending history, rap, and powerful storytelling.
Miranda has also contributed to film and television, including Encanto, Moana, and Tick, Tick... Boom!. With multiple Tony and Grammy Awards, a Pulitzer Prize, and an Emmy, he is one of the most influential voices in contemporary art.

Miércoles y jueves: 5pm a 7pm. - GROUP 2 (17 años a más)
Martes 6pm a 8pm.
Miércoles y jueves: 5pm a 7pm. - Desde la semana #5 se aumentará media hora de clase los días de baile. Más detalles en el brochure.
Shareformance date: September 24.
Requirements:
- No experience in performing arts.
- Basic English preferred.
